East Portland Action Plan
Economic Development Subcommittee Meeting
We will have a presentation from East Portland Resilience Coalition member James Metoyer, Owner of Advanced Energy Inspections, L.L.C.
James will provide an update about his work to develop certificate training programs with EarthAdvantage, and Advanced Energy Inspections to create a career pathway to green infrastructure and healthy homes jobs. James has been a key figure in promoting and developing new opportunities for young people in green technologies and in promotion of healthy homes for East Portland residents. James is working with at least two organizations that have just won PCEF grants for Workforce Development projects.
Please read more about how PCEF grants will be improving Workforce Development opportunities for East Portland residents in the PCEF report below.
Over this next year the Economic Development subcommittee will continue to emphasize workforce and economic development projects that are taking place in East Portland neighborhoods. We will continue to invite the organizations doing work to develop new green technology job opportunities to present at the EcDev meetings.
